New NAOI Program Revolutionizes Personal Investor Education

The National Association of Online Investors (NAOI) announces the release of its “2007 Confident Investing Series”, a set of five home-study courses that represents a quantum leap in the field of personal investor education.

A two-year NAOI study asked why most Americans virtually ignore the income potential of their portfolios. Results show the primary reason to be that individuals simply do not know how to invest with confidence.

Survey input makes clear that the public views current investor education resources as being woefully inadequate. Individuals trying to learn how to invest are faced with a chaotic array of books, newsletters, trading system seminars, media sound bytes, etc. None of this is "true" education.

People are looking for a comprehensive, objective and academically rigorous offering on par with a college level course. They cannot find it and they are frustrated. The NAOI "Confident Investing Education Series" fulfills this critical need.

The Series is revolutionary in a number of ways. It uses a unique multi-media format that integrates investing knowledge with powerful Web-based tools. It is comprehensive, leading students from initial goal definition through creation of a detailed portfolio - teaching a full range of investing activities along the way. Like a college course, it requires students to actively participate in the learning process and to pass multiple tests to graduate.

The content is as revolutionary as the format. The Series presents intriguing new ways of thinking in areas such as setting goals, portfolio construction and money management. Even the basic concepts of investing risk are reexamined and redefined. In addition, the tired wisdom that individual investors cannot “beat the market” is strongly discredited.

“Investor education is a field that has been ignored far too long. Rarely has such an urgent public need been so poorly addressed by the market,” according to NAOI President, Leland Hevner. “In increasing numbers, individuals today are demanding higher quality investing education. The 2007 Confident Investing Series meets this demand.”

The Confident Investing Series costs $349, and for a limited time the first course is FREE.

Founded in 1997 and located in Washington, D.C., the NAOI has students in all 50 states and in more than 20 foreign countries. The NAOI site is http://www.naoi.org. A summary of the unique features of the Series is found at http://www.naoi.org/overview/.
