Traits of a Confident Investor

Confident investing should not be a vague concept. If you are going to spend significant time and effort to complete an NAOI Study Course then you should know up-front the benefits of doing so. For this reason we present the following traits as examples of how you will benefit from graduating from an NAOI course.

As a confident investor:

  • You will have a set of specific investing goals and a detailed Investing Plan for reaching them.

  • You will know how to build a portfolio of stocks and funds that gives you the best possible chance of reaching each of your investing goals within your risk tolerance limits.

  • You will know at all times what is in your portfolio, exactly why each investment is there and you will have a targeted return for each. All of your trades will have a specific purpose.

  • You will know how to use Web resources to monitor your portfolio as a whole and each investment in your portfolio. You will know how to spot investments that are under-performing and how to periodically replace those that are not meeting expectations.

  • You will be able to use Web resources to completely analyze the risk profile of your portfolio and, should it exceed your risk tolerance levels, you will know how to make appropriate adjustments.

  • You will be able to use Web resources to completely evaluate any mutual fund within minutes.

  • You will be able to use Web resources to completely evaluate any stock within minutes.

  • You will be able to use Web resources to scan databases of thousands of stocks and funds to find purchase candidates that meet your criteria.

  • You will be fully capable of questioning any recommendation given to you by a financial advisor.

  • You will know when and how to modify your portfolio in response to changes in the economic environment or in response to changes in your personal situation.

  • You will be able to place a stock or fund trade online without the assistance of a third party, thus reducing your transaction costs to an absolute minimum.

  • You will not fixate on the financial media. You will never again place a trade based solely on the opinions of “experts” seen on TV or read about in a financial magazine or newspaper.

  • You will be able to build an investing support team and environment that provides input to your investing decision process, not make investing decisions for you.

These are just a few traits of confident investing presented to give you an idea of the power you will have when you have completed an NAOI Study Course.

The bottom line is that as a confident investor you will no longer be intimidated by the world of investing. You will be fully capable of making investing decisions on your own. Or, if you decide to work with a financial advisor, you will not be forced to rely blindly on their input. As a course graduate you will be empowered to deal with the world of investing on your own terms, confident that you have the knowledge and resources to make informed and logical investing decisions.
